Church Services Restarting
The Kirk Session has agreed to start worship services in the church building. You are invited to consider whether you would like to attend a service midweek. At these services
- the content will consist of prayers, bible reading and sermon,
- there will be no singing
- social distancing will be maintained
- face masks must be worn
- 50 people in total may attend
- pre-booking is essential.
A fuller service, with hymns, will continue on-line every Sunday.
A thorough risk assessment has been carried out. Measures will be in place to keep people safe. However, Covid-19 does not respect church buildings. People can catch the virus in church just as they can in the supermarket or any other place.
You are invited then to consider 1) what the risks are for you as an individual in coming to a church service and 2) whether you prefer to continue worshipping with hymns on your own at home, or worshipping with others but without hymns in the church building.
To find out what demand there is for such a service two have been planned
- Wednesday 26 August @ 7.30 pm
- Thursday 3 September @ 2.00 pm.
If you would like to come to one of these services please contact Julie by phone or email and book a place. Booking is essential. Unfortunately anyone who turns up who has not booked a place will not be allowed into the service.
Once we have discovered how much demand there is for this kind of service, I want to provide enough church services so that everyone who wants to worship with others once a week is able to do so.
Sunday Services and Church meetings are suspended during the Covid-19 emergency; click here to see what we are doing to help you during this difficult time.
