Sunday Worship in 2021

Sunday services will take place at 9:00 am for everyone, and at 10:30 am for families and young people.

Under current legislation, services are limited to a maximum of 50 people, and you must book a place at each service by clicking here and selecting the service that you wish to attend. For those who cannot be in Church in person, the 9:00 service will be live streamed on YouTube, and will be available as a recording later.

Click here to link to our YouTube channel for live streamed and recorded Services including Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

We meet for worship three times in a typical week, although it's a rare St Andrew Blackadder member who will be at all four services! Each service is geared to meeting particular needs and most folk settle on the one or two that suit them best. We look forward to welcoming you soon to any of our services.

When we get fully back to normal without a restriction on numbers, our services each Sunday will be:

09:00 am Morning Worship

The Morning Service is a traditional and reflective service. It was created to meet the needs of those who find the bustle and background noise of all-age worship a trial rather than a delight. Tea and coffee is available after the service.

10:30 am Worship for families and young people

This is what most people would regard as our main service including Christian teaching for both adults and children. Everyone meets together to start with and then the children go off to their KLASH meeting. There is a creche available from 10:30 am for babies and toddlers, but everyone is welcome to stay throughout the service. Multimedia presentations are often used at this service to support reflection and prayer, together with a mix of contemporary songs and well loved hymns. After the service worshippers are encouraged to chat over a drink of tea or coffee and a biscuit, and juice is available for the children.

Communion is celebrated quarterly, usually on the last Sunday of February, May, August, and November,
at 9.30am and 10.30 am.

Midweek Service

A sort service in the Chapel at 1:00 pm each Thursday alongside the Beacon luncheon club. This and the Beacon is currently suspended

Prayer Team

Two members of the prayer team will be standing at the front of the church (near the lectern) to pray with those who request prayer after the 10.30 service. The team will be wearing badges. Should anyone miss the chance to go forward and would like to ask for prayer from any member of the team please feel free to make this request. This is currently suspended due to the need for social distancing.
