Sunday Services and Church meetings are suspended during the Covid-19 emergency; click here to see what we are doing to help you during this difficult time.
We meet for worship four times in a typical week, although it's a rare St Andrew Blackadder member who will be at all four services! Each service is geared to meeting particular needs and most folk settle on the one or two that suit them best. We look forward to welcoming you soon to any of our services.
Our services each Sunday are:
09:30 am Morning Worship
The Morning Service is a traditional and reflective service. It was created to meet the needs of those who find the bustle and background noise of all-age worship a trial rather than a delight. Tea and coffee is available after the service.
10:30 am Worship for all Ages
This is what most people would regard as our main service including Christian teaching for both adults and children. Everyone meets together to start with and then the children go off to their KLASH meeting. There is a creche available from 10:30 am for babies and toddlers, but everyone is welcome to stay throughout the service. Multimedia presentations are often used at this service to support reflection and prayer, together with a mix of contemporary songs and well loved hymns. After the service worshippers are encouraged to chat over a drink of tea or coffee and a biscuit, and juice is available for the children.
Communion is celebrated quarterly, usually on the last Sunday of February, May, August, and November,
at 9.30am and 10.30 am.
Two members of the prayer team will be standing at the front of the church (near the lectern) to pray with those who request prayer after the 10.30 service. The team will be wearing badges. Should anyone miss the chance to go forward and would like to ask for prayer from any member of the team please feel free to make this request.
